Eagles take on Pepperdine

3/17/02 - The Eagles suffered a loss to the Pepperdine Waves 19-3. Biola got into the game early with three goals in the first quarter. They led that entire quarter until the second where Pepperdine began a seventeen goal run that spanned the entire game.

The Eagles' scoring came from Junior Dave Crandall, Sophomore John LaDue, and Freshman Daniel Schmidt who had one goal each. Senior Jamin Reynold recorded his first assist of the season before suffering an ankle injury.

3/9/02 - All the year's hard work and perseverance came to a head as the Eagles outlasted the Cal State University San Marcos Cougars, 14-13. Biola took a quick 3 goal lead in the first quarter only to find themselves tied in the second. Afterwards, the lead seesawed the entire game until Senior Robb Henshaw found Junior Dave Crandall who scored the go-ahead goal with 1:45 left in the game. Crandall finished the game with 5 goals.

Other scoring came from Junior Sean Connally who had 5 goals and 2 assists. Sophomore John LaDue had 2 goals. Senior Robb Henshaw had 1 goal and 1 assist. Junior Jason Bonilla had 1 goal. Freshman Dave Caminiti had 2 assists while Freshman Robert Morse earned his first career assist.

Eagles improve at SDSU

3/2/02 - The Biola University Eagles held strong against the tired San Diego State University Aztecs in the first quarter with a score of 2 to 2. After two quick goals in the second quarter, the Aztecs held the lead for the entire game. The Eagles lost 13-4. Senior Robb Henshaw and Juniors John Tiffin, Sean Connally, and Jason Bonilla scored the goals for Biola.

The Eagles rejoice in the fact that they were actually tied with a team not counting the beginning of the game. Biola continues to improve and will not let any game damper their Spirit.
