Biola battles Claremont

2/9/02 - The Eagles suffered a tough loss to Claremont Colleges 18-1 in their home opener. Before a large crowd attending the first ever lacrosse game at Biola, Junior Adam Kane scored the team's only goal. Freshman Dave Caminiti had the assist.

While Kane led the team in scoring for the game, he suffered a season ending knee injury.

"It sucks," said Kane, "It doesn't look like I will play." The team tore their uniforms in sorrow.

Biola begins Spring season

2/2/02 - The Biola Eagles started off their inaugural season with a tough loss to Occidental College, 11- 5. Junior John Tiffin lead the offense with 2 goals and Freshman Jared Miller lead the defense with 14 saves in goal.

Biola found themselves down 9 to 1 at the half but outscored Occidental 4 to 2 in the second half. Junior Sean Connally had 1 goal and 1 assist, Junior Dave Crandall had 1 goal, and Sophomore John LaDue scored 1 goal.
